The Bradford Progress

Paraorchestra & Bradford City of Culture |Bradford Districts - 2025
Community Engagement Director

Created in collaboration by Paraorchestra, Charles Hazlewood, Jeremy Deller and the people of Bradford District for Bradford 2025; The Bradford Progress brought the district to life with free performances, concerts and happenings in parks, mills and malls, and on boats, buses, trains and more performed by over 500 musicians, starting at dawn on Sat 17th May and making it’s way through the district to City Park for the afternoon of Sun 18th.

The music was carried along the route by musicians of every style and ensembles of every size, performing without pause in a host of unexpected and sometimes-unadvertised places.

My role, across 6 months, was as the Community Engagement Director, working with Charles and Jeremy and the rest of the Paraorchestra & BD25 team to help coordinate, rehearse and execute their creative vision with over 450 participants from the Bradford districts.
